Jelly Cupboard - Late Colonial
In the beginning there were 'powder milk biscuits' and then shortly thereafter came the jelly cupboard - at least one for every household. Hinged door opens to three shelves.

Livery Cupboard - Circa 1475
The English ambry was the principle means of food storage in the days before refrigerators. It's ancient texture can be manifested by some added open work designs for ventilation. Definitely a piece for dark Jacobean stain or just plain weathered finish.

Early American Blanket Chest
17th Century

Swedish Box Bed
17th & 18th Century

A sturdy warm bed after a days work was a welcome luxury to most of the common folk. Wood slats held a comforting corn husk or straw ticking with quilts to compliment the folk art commonly painted on the side and end panels.

Slant Top Desk
Late 17th Century

The center of the school masters realm was this slant top desk. Its lift top and huge drawer held all the knowledge available for distribution to a world that was still learning it wasn't flat after all.

Dutch Kas - Mid 16th Century

Panel Back Settle - Circa 1720
Here's a useful piece rescued from the entryway of the old town hall that fateful winter night back in '92. The raised panels catch the glow of the evening embers but you will want to add a seat cushion to pad your posterior.
